MWSU Student Wins on Wheel of Fortune

Missouri Western junior Jordan Alford said it was an experience of a lifetime after appearing on a recently aired taping of Wheel of Fortune.

Missouri Western junior Jordan Alford said it was an experience of a lifetime after appearing on a recently aired taping of Wheel of Fortune.

Alford had traveled to Florida with her grandmother Yolanda to appear on the nationally syndicated game show's first ever grandmother-granddaughter day.

Alford admits to being a big fan of game shows.

"I watch Game Show Network almost every day," she said. "I really love Family Feud and of course Wheel of Fortune."

Jordan and her grandmother made quite the team. They won $3,000.

"We did get one puzzle right. It was 'Wrapping Paper.'" she said. "I will never look at wrapping paper the same.

The public releations major says she would someday like to be a game show host. She proudly wears a Wheel of Fortune pin the producers gave her.

"It was a lifetime-changing experience! It was probably the best thing I've ever done in my life!"
