The sunshine and hot summer temperatures have returned to northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. Temperatures will rise into the middle 90s for your Thursday. The heat index will make it feel like the upper 90s out there so do your best to stay cool and stay hydrated.
For Friday and into the weekend, we are mostly staying dry & quiet with mostly sunny skies. There's a very slight chance of rain Friday as a weak cold front passed through. It will allow highs to go back down into the lower 90s then the upper 80s for the weekend.
Monday will be another sunny day before better chances of rain & thunderstorms return to the forecast on Tuesday & Wednesday. High temperatures are looking to cool back down to near average in the middle 80s midweek.
