Elmo Man Killed After Being Hit by Backhoe

MSHP confirms an Elmo, Missouri man was killed after being hit by a backhoe.

An Elmo, Missouri man was killed while loading brush onto a backhoe Tuesday afternoon, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

A crash report said Michael Calfee, 67, died after being hit by the backhoe. Troopers said Calfee was loading brush onto the loader when the vehicle began rolling south. Calfee was hit by the backhoe when it started moving.

Troopers said the vehicle was in gear, enabling it to roll.
