We are waking up this Wednesday morning to a few clouds and some patchy fog across the region. You may want to give yourselves plenty of time to head out the door this morning if you do run into some low visibility. Once the sun rises and the fog burns off, we'll see a mix of sun and clouds. There's a storm system to our south that could usher in some moisture later on today, so we could see a few light stray showers this afternoon. High temperatures will start warming back up to the lower 80s.
A large area of high pressure will settle in over northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas, giving us mostly sunny skies for the rest of the workweek. Better chances for showers and storms returns to the area late Friday night and into Saturday as our next storm system moves in. We'll continue to look over the latest models and continue to update you on the weekend forecast as we get closer. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s.
By Sunday, we'll see partly sunny skies making way for a dry start to the new workweek. Temperatures will once again cool back down to the 70s. By Tuesday, we'll have yet another system passing through giving us another round of showers and thunderstorms.
