(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Police are investigating the shooting death of 49-year-old William L. Talbott on Highly Street Sunday night.
Officers responded to the shooting around 9:08 pm after reports of a shooting with a person down a few blocks away from Mount Mora Cemetery.
Police found Talbott laying in front of a house with a gun shot wound to the torso.
Talbott, 49, was transported to Mosaic Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they don't have a suspect, but are investigating the case as a homicide.

Police have been investigating a shooting Sunday evening on Highly Street near Mount Mora Cemetery.
The St. Joseph Police say they responded to calls of shots fired just after 9:00pm Sunday.
When they arrived at the 1100 block of Highly Street, they say they found a person shot.
The person was described as a white male in his late 40s.
Authorities say he was taken to Mosaic, but they would not comment on his condition.
One woman, Stacie Dawson, told KQ2 over Facebook that she lives on the street where the shooting occurred.
Dawson said she heard a noise like firecrackers and when she heard sirens she went to her back door to investigate.
She said police flooded the street and instructed her to "get back."
Dawson also said a man was laying in the street about 20 feet from her back door.
She said he appeared to have been shot in the chest.
