(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After the primary election on Tuesday, the race for the next mayor of St. Joseph was narrowed down to two candidates, Bill McMurray and Beau Walker.

Walker is a local pastor and business owner and says he wants to put an emphasis on the public appearance of St. Joseph.

Walker is planning on continuing his grassroots campaign and if elected mayor, he would like to work with local law enforcement to connect with neighborhood watches.

The general election is Tuesday, April 3.

Tuesday has been a dreary and cool day with plenty of rain but the end is in sight. For tonight, the rain will come to an end and eventually the clouds will begin to breakup. Lows will be in the low 60s.
