Area veterans were welcomed to the Civic Arena on Saturday for the area's largest veteran resource event. Vet 2 Vet connects former service men and women with community resources.

A total of 56 vendors were at the event. They ranged from local businesses to police and fire departments. The goal of the event was to shed light on the number of resources available to veterans across the area.

The St. Joseph Youth Alliance put on the event for its fourth year and each year it gets larger and larger.

The late spring heat continues into Monday with lots of sunshine and highs in the middle 90s. Feels like temperatures will be around 100 degrees once again. A Heat Advisory remains is in effect until 8pm Monday for the entire KQ2 viewing area. Best advice is to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and stay out of the sun. Big changes move in for the new workweek as relief from the dry conditions & summer heat is on the way beginning into Tuesday.
