Flood Warning issued June 5 at 9:09AM CDT until June 9 at 2:12PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Platte River near Agency affecting Buchanan County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Platte River near Agency.

* WHEN…Until early Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Low-lying areas east of Agency begin to
flood.
At 25.0 feet, Flooding begins at the east border of Agency.
At 30.0 feet, Many farm levees along the river are overtopped and
nearly all rural roads are under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.1
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Monday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
