Flood Warning issued June 6 at 4:02AM CDT until June 9 at 10:50AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Grand River near Sumner affecting Chariton, Linn, Carroll and
Livingston Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Grand River near Sumner.

* WHEN…Until late Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage
begins to flood.
At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded.
At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 28.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 31.7 feet just after
midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late
Monday morning to 12.3 feet Tuesday morning. It will rise to
12.8 feet Tuesday evening. It will then fall again and remain
below flood stage.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
