1 person taken by life-flight after crash on 59 Highway

The crash happened in the area of 8000 U.S. 59 Highway Wednesday afternoon.

(BUCHANAN COUNTY, Mo.) One person was taken by life-flight after a crash on 59 Highway in Buchanan County Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened on U.S. 59 Highway, three miles south of St. Joseph, shortly after noon.

Billy Jenkins, 56, was driving south when Kirby Renshaw, 66, was driving north in a semi-truck.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jenkins crossed the center line and hit Renshaw head-on.

Jenkins was transported by life-flight to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
