2 escape with minor injuries in rollover accident

Police said two occupants were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Two people escaped with minor injuries in a rollover accident Thursday.

The single-vehicle accident happened around 5:30 p.m. at I-29 and 36 Highway.

Emergency crews responded to find the vehicle on its roof. Police said two occupants were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The area was shut down for about an hour while crews cleaned up the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

After the thunderstorms moved out the area early Sunday morning, we were left with a little bit of cooler, overcast Sunday. Tonight looks to be decently mild with lows in the 40s and calm winds. Tomorrow we will be warming back into the 60s for our high with clouds building throughout the day. There is a slight chance for rain on Tuesday, followed by mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s for Wednesday and Thursday. More rain chances return towards the end of this week.
