The municipal election is less than a week away.
St. Joseph voters will be electing a mayor and new city council members.
For those with spring break plans or who will otherwise be out of town for the elections, there is still a chance to vote absentee.
"For April election the last day you can come in and vote absentee is Monday April 2 and you have until 5 p.m. to do that," Buchanan County Clerk Mary Baack-Garvey said. "We are also going to be open this Saturday on March 31 from 8 a.m. til noon. In case people can't get in on week days, we are always open the Saturday prior to each election, for a few hours, for voting."
Baack-Garvey is predicting a little more than a 30 percent turnout for the election next Tuesday, which she says is about average for a spring, municipal election.
