(St.Joseph,MO) The St. Joseph Aquatic Park will open its doors Saturday morning at 11am.

The local water park will operate from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.

The Krug Park pool is slated to open on Memorial Day. The park pool will be open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer from noon to 6 p.m., provided weather is fair and staffing is available.

The Krug Park pool will also debut a new rock climbing wall feature on opening day.

Assistant Parks Director Jeff Atkins said crews have been hard at work to get things ready for what he expects to be a busy holiday weekend.

“The lifeguards are going through some last minute training. The rest of her [Aquatics Director Jenda Smith’s] maintenance staff is down there making sure everything is right for what it needs to be. They’re blowing up the inner tubes, they’re just getting ready to open tomorrow,” Atkins said.

Admission for the Aquatic Center is $5 for adults and $4 for children under nine. Krug Park Pool admission costs $4 for adults and $3 for children under nine. Children under the age of three are free at both locations with a paid adult.
