Benton, Central Announce New Football Coaches

Central named former Missouri Western running back Regi Trotter as its new coach while Benton named Winnetonka High School physical education teacher Kevin Keeton to its top spot.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Two St. Joseph high schools announced their new head football coaches on Tuesday.


Central named former Missouri Western running back Regi Trotter as its new coach while Benton named Winnetonka High School physical education teacher Kevin Keeton to its top spot.

Trotter has been the linebacker, wide receiver and special teams coach at Central. His coaching career dates back to 1999 when he coached wide receivers and running backs at Western.

Keeton has also coached football since 1999.

He currently teaches strength and conditioning at Winnetonka High School in Kansas City.

It will be a cold start to the work week, with cloudy skies and below average highs in the low-to-mid 50s for northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Tuesday and Wednesday a cold front will move in and give us a chance for rain and t-storms. As the warm front moves in and remains stationary it will spark rain/storm chances Wednesday through Thursday. Thursday will be the warmest day of the week with a high in the upper 70s. A cold front moves back in Friday returning highs to the low 50s for the weekend.
