Benton Girls Win the City Jamboree

Even with a tie with Lafayette, the Lady Cardinals are the champions.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo.

The Benton Lady Cardinals showed used a solid defense performance and overcame a tie with Lafayette to win the 2017 City Jamboree at the Civic Center on Friday night.

Benton was boosted with the return of Bailey Russell and she provided a spark. She was active of defense and scored when she needed on offense.

The Lady Cardinals returned many players from last season's squad and are primed to make a run this season at a district title.
