Candidate Announces Reelection Bid for Buchanan County Recorder of Deeds

Ed Wilberger made the announcement Tuesday that he is filing for reelection.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Buchanan County Recorder of Deeds Ed Wildberger announced Tuesday that he will be seeking reelection.

Wildberger has been in his current position since being appointed there in November 2008 by former Missouri Governor Jay Nixon. 

Wildberger stated in a press release that he is hoping to serve one more four year term in order to finish a project he started upon taking office to modernize the office equipment and work procedures. 

He added that he is proud of the way his staff have dug in and worked had in his objective of restoration and preservation of Buchanan County's records.

Wildberger served as a firefighter in St. Joseph for 29 years and seven years as a State Representative in the Missouri House.

This week will be much cooler than last week for northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Wind chills Monday morning will be in the teens with the daytime high only getting into the 40s. Current models indicate a slight chance for precipitation Wednesday night into Thursday morning. We have a slight chance to see drizzle overnight Wednesday and flurries and/or light snow possible Thursday morning.
