District Semi-Finals Wrap-Up

Scores and highlights from district tournaments in the area.

After multiple reschedulings, high school district playoff basketball games were played.

In class one, district 15: North Andrew boys defeated King City, 66-36. St. Joseph Christian defeated South Holt, 46-38. King City girls defeated South Holt, 51-32. North Andrew girls defeated Osborn,   .

In class two, district 16: Mid-Buchanan boys defeated Polo, 55-50. Plattsburg boys defeated Stanberry, 65-44. Mid-Buchanan girls defeated Gallatin, 61-40. Stanberry girls defeated Plattsburg, 64-32. 

In class three, district 16: Hamilton boys defeated Leblond, 78-57. Maryville boys defeated East-Buchanan, 51-37. Hamilton girls defeated Maryville, 58-50. Trenton girls defeated East-Buchanan, 63-40.

In class one, district 15 finals: (Boys) North Andrew vs. St. Joseph Christian, 6:30 p.m. (Girls) King City vs. North Andrew, 4:30 p.m. Both at King City High School.

In class two, district 16 finals: (Boys) Mid-Buchanan vs. Plattsburg, 3:00 p.m. (Girls) Mid-Buchanan vs. Stanberry, 1:00 p.m. Both at Gallatin High School.

In class three, district 16 finals: (Boys) Hamilton vs. Maryville, 6:30 p.m. (Girls) Hamilton vs. Trenton, 4:30 p.m. Both games at Penney High School in Hamilton.

We started out across the area with a few clouds around as a disturbance passed to the south of the area. Clouds slowly started to clear by the early afternoon hours. Today temperatures were still be above average, but cooler than yesterday with highs in the upper 50s. Temperatures will be back in the 60s this weekend under mostly sunny skies. Winds will be a bit breezy on Sunday with wind gusts up to 25 mph. Wind will remain fairly breezy through the beginning of next week especially on Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will stay above average next week with rain chances increasing by mid week.
