Driver ejected, killed in single-vehicle crash in Andrew County

Troopers said the driver was heading towards Fillmore around 4:30 p.m. when he went off the right side of the road. rolled, and was ejected.

(ANDREW COUNTY, Mo.) A Maryville, Mo. man was killed in a one-car accident Tuesday afternoon in Andrew County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports, 49-year-old Stephen Coleman was driving west on Route A toward Fillmore around 4:30 p.m. when his car went off the road, hit a ditch and overturned. Coleman was ejected from the vehicle.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time, according to troopers.

Troopers said Coleman was not wearing a seat belt.

Highway A was closed while troopers worked the scene.

Fall-like weather will usher into the area Monday with highs mainly in the 60s and no hazardous weather expected through the week. The area could see its first frost Friday morning as the lows drop into the low-to-mid 30s.
