Fire destroys home in south St. Joseph

No one was injured in the fire.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.)— The St. Joseph Fire Department battled a fire that destroyed a south St. Joseph home Monday morning. 

The home in the 3100 block of Easton Road was deemed a total loss by officials. 

SJFD said no one was injured in the fire. 

One person and three dogs were home at the time of the fire but got out safely. 

The cause is unknown at this time.

Warm air is in place over northeast Missouri and northeast Kansas on Thursday. Temperatures made it into the lower 50's on Thursday with light winds across the mid west. A pool of cold air is up to the north of the area and will head our way. The cold front will work its way through the region Thursday night with cooler weather behind it for the end of the week.
