Jonathan Owens who was a senior for the Missouri Western football team last season will continue his football career at the next level playing the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals.

Owens did not hear his name get called during the NFL Draft over the weekend, but did get an important phone call that kept his NFL dreams alive, as the Arizona Cardinals signed Owens to a Free Agency deal, that would allow him to hopefully make the 53 man roster going into next season.

The former Griffon defensive back in 2017 had 46 solo tackles, three tackles for loss along with two forced fumbles and two interceptions. Owens can also return punts.

Owens first time to be able showcase his talents will be at the Cardinals mandatory Rookie minicamp which is May 11-13th.
