Griffons Win Series On Senior Day

Griffons Win Series On Senior Day

Posted: May. 6, 2018 11:32 PM

Bitter sweet moment for everyone at Spring Sports Complex, as it was the last home game for the Griffon seniors, and also the last time that Missouri Western would ever play Nebraska Kearney.

UNK earlier in the year decided to cut the baseball program due to finances. Therefore the Lopers baseball season is officially over once they get to their final out.

Both teams however will be in the conference tournament starting Thursday May 10-13.

UNK comes in at the five seed and Western comes in as the sixth seed.

A weak cold front will pass through for our Friday, giving us a slight chance for rain this morning ahead of it. We'll have cloudy skies through the morning into the afternoon so it will be dry in time for Friday night high school football. Temperatures will be near average in the middle 60s thanks to the breezy southwest winds, but the cloud cover will be the main factor.
