Missouri Western will play in the MIAA conference tournament after missing last season.

Head coach Shawn Becker has taken the lady griffs to the MIAA tournament three out of the last four years.

With a young team this will be the first time a lot of the players will compete in post season play, and with sophomore Karolina Strom coming in the tournament with a top 75 ranking the expectation level has risen.

The conference tournament will be in Lincoln Nebraska, starting Monday with the championship being on Wednesday April 18th.

Western will compete in both singles and doubles and will start out against Northeastern State, first matches begin at 8 am.

Mostly cloudy skies across much of northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas Tuesday which resulted in cold temperatures across the area. We saw some freezing rain to the south of St. Joseph Tuesday afternoon. The warmer air will start moving back into the area as we head into Wednesday afternoon with highs in the 50s. The rain chances will start to increase as we head into your Thursday and Thursday night.
