Kansas State basketball found out Friday that not only will they have their veteran guard coming back, but the university also decided to give an extension to head men's basketball coach Bruce Webber until the 2022-23 season.

Barry Brown who almost averaged 16 points per game at 15.9 will lead a team that will return all five starters, and with coming back for one more year will most likely make the top ten in scoring in K-State basketball history.

This will be Webbers seventh year at K-State as the head coach and has taken the Wildcats to four NCAA tournament appearences. He will make 2.5 million in the 2018-19 season, and will continue to have a 100,000 dollar increase throughout his new extension. Webber is the first Kansas State head coach to lead the Wildcats to multiple 25 win seasons.

Both coach and player lead K-State to the elite eight last year beating Kentucky in the sweet sixteen, but fell to tournament darlings Loyola-Chicago. The Wildcats are a top favorite in the Big 12 for next basketball season.

Skies have started to cloud up late today after we saw sunshine for the first half of the day. Clouds will start to break apart again this afternoon with temperatures warming into the lower 50s. The majority of today will be dry, but there could be a few areas of light drizzle later this evening mainly to the south of the St. Joseph area. Temperatures will continue to warm on Saturday making a run for 60 under mostly sunny skies. A few clouds will move into the area Saturday evening as a cold front moves through. That cold front could bring us a few areas of light rain once again, but most areas will see less than a tenth of an inch of rain.. Temperatures will be slightly cooler on Sunday because of the cold front, but will quickly start to warm into the 50s by the beginning of next week.
