After a very warm weekend, the heat continues into the start of the new work week. Getting there though, expect a mild night for tonight with lows only dropping into the mid 70s under partly cloudy skies. There could be an isolated shower towards morning.
Monday will have a few headlines including warm temperatures and windy conditions. The day will also feature the chance for isolated thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid 90s. Sustained winds from the south at 15-25 mph likely with gusts around 30 mph possible.
Watching Tuesday for a round of showers and thunderstorms to move through the area. There is the potential for a few storms to be on the strong side. All of us in the KQ2 weather center will be fine tuning the forecast as we get closer to the event.
Tuesday's storm chances are due to a cold front that will bring cool conditions on Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s. The rest of the week and into next weekend looks unsettled with on and off rain chances. Highs are expected to be in the 80s.
