Heavy rain and thunderstorms are moving across the KQ2 viewing area this morning as a warm front pushes through. We'll have partly sunny skies during the afternoon. Highs are expected to warm back up to above average in the upper 80s to lower 90s Friday afternoon with the breezy southerly winds picking up.
The long Labor Day holiday weekend looks unsettled with on and off rain chances. We'll have another storm system push through on Saturday lasting into Sunday bringing in additional showers and thunderstorm chances. Highs will be very warm and above average in the lower 90s. Some of those storms could be on the strong side with some hail and gusty winds. We'll get some heavy rain as well with amounts ranging from 1-3."
The active weather pattern and rain chances looks to continue as we head back to work & school for a short workweek next week. High temperatures next are looking to remain in the lower to middle 80s.
