Mid-Buchanan 76 - Lafayette 87

On paper, Class 4 Lafayette should have handled Class 2 Mid-Buchanan easily. But the Dragons are long and athletic, and were able to hang in with the Fighting Irish for much of the night, falling 87-76 on Monday night at Lafayette High School.

The Irish put up 32 first quarter points and Mid-Buchanan trailed 76-53 heading into the fourth quarter, but never gave up.

With the loss, Mid-Buchanan falls to 4-1 on the season, while Lafayette improves to 4-2.

Other Boys Scores:

Maryville 67 - East Buchanan 53

Lathrop 57 - Gallatin 48

Savannah (Girls) 35 - Benton 62
