ST. JOSEPH, Mo.
Two games, no problem for the Lafayette as the Irish pulled out the brooms and swept the Platte County Pirates in the boys and girls home opener on Friday night.

On the boys side, Lafayette won 77-65. D'Karee Gray led the Irish with 19 points, but Trey Washington (15), Diego Bernard (14) and Ike Book (14) also reached double figures in scoring.
On the girls side, it was a defensive struggle throughout, but the Lady Irish used a late run to ice the game, 48-36.
The Lady Irish will be back in action tomorrow at home against Rock Bridge.
