Latest numbers show 671 people have died from coronavirus in Missouri.

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) New numbers from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services show 671 people have died from coronavirus in Missouri while 11,558 have tested positive since the state began tracking confirmed cases.

The state reports 599 positive cases in Buchanan County. Mosaic Life Care reports 15 patients in the hospital for coronavirus.

Missouri recorded its first COVID-19 death on March 18 in Boone County. Two deaths have been recorded in Buchanan County.

Temperatures and humidity will continue to climb on Monday making it feel like a typical hot and humid summer day in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 80s and increasing moisture and instability. This will likely mean shower and thunderstorm chances for the remainder of the Memorial Day weekend.
