Local Resident Preserves Family History of Soldiers

This year's Black History month focuses on remembering African-Americans who served in the United State military through times of war.

Gary Wilkinson, a Missouri resident worked to learn more about his family's past and found that he was born into a family of proud soldiers. 

Wilkinson's family has been involved in the military dating from Afghanistan, Vietnam, World War II and even all the way back to the Civil War.

.Friday we will see lots of sunshine as a area of high pressure continues to move into northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. The colder temperatures will start to move away from the area on Friday. Then over the weekend we will warm up dramatically with highs in the 50s and watch for our next chance for rain on Sunday.
