MWSU football player suspended indefinitely after arrest

Missouri Western State University has suspended Griffon Football player Willie Washington.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Missouri Western State University has suspended Griffon Football player Willie Washington.

According to court documents, Washington was arrested by campus police for being a fugitive from out of state. 

Washington has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, according to a statement by Griffon Athletics.

Washington is being held without bond and is expected to be in court on September 19.

The area could see its first frost Friday morning as the lows drop into the low-to-mid 30s.
