(ST. JOSEPH, Mo) A police standoff ended peacefully Monday night.

St. Joseph police responded to the area of 32nd and Mitchell around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

They say a man had entered a home and refused to leave.

He did not live in the home, but authorities say he did have some former relationship with the resident.

A standoff then ensued with police and a SWAT team that was later called to the scene.

After just more than an hour, the man was brought out of the home and taken into custody.

No other details are known at this time.
