Mid-Buchanan Boys and Girls End Season On Different Notes

While the boys finished in third place with the win, the girls fell in the finals. Ending a successful season for both programs.

The Mid-Buchanan boys and girls basketball teams wrapped-up their seasons Friday, but not neccesarily how both wanted to.
 
The boys won a third-place game against Purdy High School, 83-63. Though they wanted the first-place trophy, ending the season with a win and a third-place trophy, sends the seniors out on a high note.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, the girls end the season with a loss and a second place trophy. The Lady Dragons fell to Neelyville, 70-51. After falling down multiple times throughout the game, the Lady Dragons fought back to bring it close. 

All in all, it was a great year for both programs. Rarely do you see both the boys and girls make it to the final four.

Today we had a pleasant end to the weekend with above average highs in the 70s and lots of sunshine. Tonight's conditions will be calm and clear with lows reaching the low 40s overnight. Dry and sunny weather will continue into the work week. Highs in the 70s persist through the beginning of the week, then cooling off into the low 60s as we head into next weekend. Fall-like weather looks to continue for the weekend with highs in the 60 on Saturday and 70 on Sunday under mostly sunny skies. Dry and sunny weather looks to continue into the beginning of next week.
