Mid-Buchanan Sweeps Lathrop in Home-Opening, KCI Win

Both the boys and the girls handled Lathrop

Both the Mid-Buchanan boys and girls basketball teams faced early deficits in their home-openers on Friday night, but surged past Lathrop. The boys won 74-56 and the girls won 68-41.

Collin Wyatt led the way with 19 points for the Dragons and Hunter Scaggs added 17. On the girl's side, MWSU commit Jill Rumpf led the way with 18, as tthe girls harrassed Lathrop with a full-court, pressure defense.

On top of it being their home-opener, it was a KCI Conference showdown.

Most of today was sunny and dry with a few passing clouds. An isolated shower or two could develop late this afternoon in extreme northwest Missouri. Temperatures will continue to warm up on Wednesday with highs back in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Several rounds of showers and storms will return Thursday and Friday as a front moves through our area. A few storms could be on the stronger side or bring heavy rain. Temperatures will be back in the low to mid 80s for the weekend.
