MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State baseball finds itself in the middle of a conference championship race. It all comes down to one series in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Northwest baseball has not won a MIAA title since 1983. With two wins this weekend against Central Oklahoma and at least one Central Missouri loss, the Bearcats are MIAA champions.

Northwest and Central Oklahoma play Friday, Saturday and Sunday. First pitches from Friday and Saturday are 3:00 p.m. Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The forecast for tomorrow will be very similar to yesterday: cooler, hazy, and sunny. The hazy sky is a result of the wild fires out to the west of us. Tonight should be cool as well with lows in the lower 60s and calm winds. Dry and sunny conditions continue into next week as temperatures stay seasonal. Highs look to stay in the 80s until midweek and the humidity will be moderate, feeling a lot more comfortable than last week.
