Conserve Water:
⦁ Take shorter showers.
⦁ Turn off the water while brushing your teeth or shaving.
⦁ Run the washer less frequently and only when you have a full load.
⦁ Water your lawn less frequently and do so when the temperature is cooler in the early morning or late evening.
⦁ When you run the tap to heat or cool water, keep a pitcher to store the water and use it to water plants.

Practice Fire Prevention:
⦁ Daviess County is currently under a Burn Ban.
⦁ Don't set off fireworks when conditions are dry.
⦁ Deposit cigarette butts in the proper receptacle to avoid starting a fire.
⦁ Pour water over camp fires and backyard fire pits to ensure they are completely out before leaving them unattended.

Just a little bit more sunshine today across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. The air quality is much better today with the haze starting to clear out of the area. Tonight will be cool and calm with lows in the mid 60s and light winds. There is a slight chance for isolated showers tonight and tomorrow afternoon, although most of the area should stay dry. Dry and sunny conditions continue into the weekend as temperatures start to warm up again. Highs look to stay in the 80s until midweek and then start to climb into the 90s as we head into the weekend.
