One in custody following overnight shooting

A man was taken into custody following a shooting early Thursday morning.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A man was taken into custody following a shooting early Thursday morning.

According to the St. Joseph Police Department, police responded to a report of shots fired on the 400 block of Blake Street just before 3:00 a.m. Thursday morning. Upon arrival, officers found evidence that houses in the area had been struck and determined that neighbors were shooting at each other.

No one was injured and police are still investigating the incident.

A strong cold front has made its way into northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas bringing much cooler air and a lot of clouds across the area. Friday night and Saturday the cold air will continue to be in place with daytime highs only reaching into the 40's. As the weekend continues we will see increasing chances for rain and maybe some snow. A cold start to the beginning of next week with highs only in the 30's and 40's.
