Ong Named MIAA Golfer of the Year

The MIAA announced Friday, Western women's golfer Shi Qing Ong was named MIAA Golfer of the Year.

KANSAS CITY, Mo- The MIAA announced Friday, Western women's golfer Shi Qing Ong was named MIAA Golfer of the Year.

Ong won the individual championship at this week's MIAA Championships in Kansas City, winning by seven strokes. Her MIAA win was the third individual title this season. She has won MIAA Golfer of the year four times in her career.

Chong Yong finished as an all MIAA selection as well. The sophomore had five top-10 finishes this season after qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Championships last season.

Tomorrow the humidity will stay on the lower side, so the heat index should feel very close to the air temperatures. Humidity will start to build on Monday as sunshine continues. Temperatures look to stay above average in the 90s for most of the work week with very minimal rain chances. Temperatures will cool down into the mid to upper 80s by the weekend.
