Pedestrian struck by vehicle

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital Monday evening after getting struck by a vehicle in Buchanan County.

(BUCHANAN COUNTY, Mo) A pedestrian was taken to the hospital Monday evening after getting struck by a vehicle in Buchanan County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 29-year-old Skyler Allen was walking southbound on Route W when he was struck by a vehicle.

Allen was taken to Mosaic Life Care with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, 32-year-old Andrew Thiel, was not injured.

Rain chances continued on Tuesday afternoon for northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Shower chances continue throughout the day Tuesday and into Wednesday morning. Wednesday we will see cooler temperatures across the area with highs only in the lower 40's. Temperatures will be on the mild side in the 40s and 50s into the later half of the week.
