Police: 3 suffer life-threatening injuries after crash on Belt Highway

St. Joseph police say two vehicles were involved.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Three people suffered life-threatening injuries after an early afternoon crash on the Belt Highway.

The crash happened around 11:00 a.m. Friday on the South Belt Highway near 36 Highway.

St. Joseph police say two vehicles were involved. Three people were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police closed the area while officers worked the scene backing up traffic on the Belt.

There is no word yet on how the crash may have occurred or details on any of the victims involved.
