(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) St. Joseph police are searching for two suspects after a robbery at a gas station on the Belt Highway.

Around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, officers were called to 3002 North Belt Highway at Valero gas station after receiving a call of a robbery.

According to Sergeant Brad Kerns, two males - one in a blue hoodie and one in a black hoodie - wore face masks. Each suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money from the clerk inside.

The suspects fled the scene northbound on foot with an unknown amount of cash. Officers suspect the men might have gotten into a vehicle after distancing themselves from the area.

People were inside the gas station at the time of the robbery, but police said no injuries were reported.

The incident is still under investigation.

If you have any information on the suspects, call the St. Joseph tips hotline at 816-238-TIPS.
