(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The St. Joseph Police Department is asking for the public's help in looking for an endangered missing woman and child.

Police issued the alert for 35-year-old Sarah Butler-Young and 7-year-old Jasmine Robinson.

The Missouri State Highway patrol said GPS coordinates from Sarah's cell phone shows they may be in the Lee's Summit area. Police believe they may be driving in a blue Mitsubishi Outlander Sport with Missouri license plates AG2-A0V.

The highway patrol says Sara picked up Jasmine from Skaith Elementary school Wednesday morning. Jasmine hasn't been at school for the past two days and Sara hasn't been at home.

Authorities say Sara has exhibited mental health issues recently and paranoid behavior.

If you have seen them, call police at (816) 271-4777.

The forecast for today will be very similar to yesterday, but just a couple degrees warmer although we are still staying relatively cool for this time in August. The air quality is much better today with the haze starting to clear out of the area. Tonight will be cool and calm with lows in the mid 60s and light winds. There is a slight chance for isolated showers tonight and tomorrow afternoon, although most of the area should stay dry. Dry and sunny conditions continue into the weekend as temperatures start to warm up again. Highs look to stay in the 80s until midweek and then start to climb into the 90s as we head into the weekend.
