Pony Express Tournament Championship

The Pony Express Tournament concluded in epic fashion as two school Lafayette and Benton high schools were down and came back to win.

Lafayette was down to Savannah 5-2 going into the sixth inning of the championship game. The Irish would put up seven runs in the sixth inning to take the lead, and close out the game beating the Savages 9-5 for a final score.

Benton and Bishop LeBlond would battle for the third place spot in the tournament, and much like the championship game where it was a slower start for one team, a come back in was in order.

The Benton Cardinals would take note from Lafayette and make a come from behind run as they were down 2-0 early in the ball game and beat the Golden Eagles 6-3 to take third place.
