Royals Catcher Out Four-to-Six Weeks Due to MCL Tear

The day before Opening Day at Kauffman Stadium, the Kansas City Royals announce that Salvador Perez will be out for the next four-to-six weeks.

(MLB) Kansas City Royals veteran catcher Salvador Perez will miss the opening month of baseball due to a torn MCL in his left knee.

According to MLB.com, Perez hurt himself while lifting a suitcase and will miss the next four-to-six weeks. 

Perez is a five-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove winner.
