SJPD Seeks Person of Interest in Homicide

The St. Joseph Police Department is asking the public's help to locate a wanted man.

St. Joseph police are seeking a person of interest related to a homicide case.

They're looking for 19-year-old Khaury El-Amin. El-Amin is described as a black male, 5'11", weighing around 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police said El-Amin is also known as Khaury Hawkins.

The St. Joseph Police Department said El-Amin is wanted for a felony drug warrant and is also considered a person of interest in a homicide. It's unclear at this time what homicide case he is a person of interest in.

Police said El-Amin should be considered armed and dangerous.

Rain chances continued on Tuesday afternoon for northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Shower chances continue throughout the day Tuesday and into Wednesday morning. Wednesday we will see cooler temperatures across the area with highs only in the lower 40's. Temperatures will be on the mild side in the 40s and 50s into the later half of the week.
