(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.)- The St. Joseph School District will dismiss all students 90 minutes early today, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, due to several heat-related factors impacting our buildings.

Portions of several of our secondary buildings are not air conditioned, and Central High School’s entire freshman wing is also without air conditioning due to a maintenance issue, which has limited the ability to move students to an area that provides relief from the heat and humidity.

Due to transportation considerations, ALL buildings will be dismissed 90 minutes early.

The good news is our temperatures will be on the rise through the week. Sundays highs will be in the middle to upper 40s and Monday is expected to be even warmer. There is a slight risk for some evening rain showers Tuesday. By midweek highs will be pushing the 50s. By the end of the week we could be seeing highs in the 60s.
