Sheriff Releases Surveillance Video of Osborn School Break-In

The break-in prompted authorities to evacuate students to a safe area on Monday while officers swept the school.

(OSBORN, Mo.) The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office released surveillance video Tuesday of four suspects authorities said broke into the school in Osborn.


The video shows the suspects breaking into the school around 5:08 a.m. on Saturday, March 24. They are seen leaving the school several minutes later and driving away.

Authorities said the video appears to show one of the suspects leave something at the school. According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, one of the suspects was seen carrying a black backpack when they entered the building through a second floor window. The same suspect did not appear to be wearing the backpack when leaving.

The break-in prompted authorities to evacuate students to a safe area on Monday while officers swept the school.

Nothing was found.

Students returned to school Tuesday morning.
