Shooting in Midtown Sends One Man to Hospital

A shooting in midtown sent one St. Joseph man to the hospital with serious injuries.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A shooting in midtown sent one St. Joseph man to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police responded to a call for a shooting at the 900 block of South 15th Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

Upon arriving at the scene police said they discovered a man on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was quickly transported to Mosaic Life Care. 

Authorities said the severity of the victim's condition is unknown at this time.

No suspects have been identified. Police said the incident is still under investigation.

The name of the victim has not been released.

We have had rain off and on this Friday afternoon across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. Scattered showers will continue off and on through the evening and overnight hours. A few showers could linger through the day Saturday but the rain will be lighter than today and much more scattered. Temperatures will slowly start to warm Sunday into Monday as sunshine returns and conditions start to dry out. Another cold front is headed our way Monday night and that will bring us a chance for rain and possibly some snow into Tuesday morning as the colder air surges into our area. Temperatures look to stay unseasonably cool through the rest of the next week.
