Solon elected to District 9 seat in Missouri House

Solon is a former Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives.

Republican Sheila Solon won Missouri's District 9 House seat in Tuesday's general election.

The former representative defeated Democrat and Missouri Western journalism professor Bob Bergland with 65 percent of the vote.

Solon is a former Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 31 from 2011 to 2017.

We also have a round of showers and thunderstorms pushing through this morning thanks to a storm system moving through from our north. We'll have another round of showers & thunderstorms move in late Tuesday night into Wednesday as a strong cold front pushes through. Some of these storms could be strong to possibly severe with some hail, gusty winds and heavy rain.
