(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A St. Joseph clinic is spreading holiday cheer by preventing the spread of the illness. The Urgent Care Express is offering a free flu shot to anyone willing to donate a toy for the Noyes Home this Christmas for their Shots for Tots program.

The clinic is requesting toys for children of either gender worth a minimum of $15.

Operations Manager Tiffany Kiehl says this is a great way to give back to the community and provide inexpensive protection from the flu.

“We decided that since the flu season and the holiday season tend to coincide, it would be a good idea to help those who want to be vaccinated against the flu; as well as being able to help the children of the area have a brighter Christmas,” Kiehl said.

According to Kiehl the clinic has obtains over 100 flu shots for the season including a pediatric flu shot for children 6 months to 3 years-old. The clinic will continue to provide shots as long as their supplies last, and expect to deliver gifts to the Noyes Home by the mid-December.
