St. Joseph Health Department reports 13th and 14th COVID-19 related deaths

The health department has now reported four coronavirus related deaths in the past three days.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The City of St. Joseph Health Department reported two more COVID-19 related deaths on Thursday.

The deaths mark the 13th and 14th death due to COVID-19. The health department has now reported four coronavirus related deaths in the past three days.

No other details were released about the deaths.

Total coronavirus cases also grew by 28 in the past 24 hours with 21 confirmed cases and seven probable cases.

21 people are currently hospitalized. The health department reports Buchanan County's positivity rate at 6.86 percent.

The warming trend will continue tomorrow with temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 60s under mostly sunny skies. Winds will also be much calmer today out of the east about 5-10 mph. Temperatures will make a run towards the 70s on Thursday with most areas landing in the upper 60s for highs as sunshine continues. A disturbance will pass to the south of our area on Friday bringing us a few clouds. Temperatures will drop down into the 50s on Friday before quickly warming back up for the weekend. The weekend is looking warm and sunny with highs in the low to mid 60s. Next week looks to start off just as warm with temperatures remaining well above average in the 60s.
